About Vegan Doja
It was 2007, when Daniel Rodriguez (a.k.a Vegan Doja) first climbed up the rocky road to the top of a majestic mountain in the Six Rivers National Forest in Del Norte County, CA and a new and unknown chapter began.
Originally from Atlanta, GA. Rodriguez spent many of his early years in shared communal housing settings, such as Amata next to the Land Trust in the Lake Claire community.
Born from parents Carol, macrobiotic chef and masseuse, & Willy, musician & plant lover, who were both foundational parts of the first health food co-ops in Decatur/Atlanta, Rainbow Grocery & Sevananda Natural Foods and devotees of spiritual teacher Prem Ruwat. Rodriguez entered into an independent and somewhat alternative lifestyle from an early age.
After his early years in Atlanta, Rodriguez spent over 10 years learning the art and trade of stone masonry in New England. Though Rodriguez loved his life and community on the east coast…the wild west still called him. He found himself in the San Francisco area practicing stone masonry and later traveled up the 101, in search of land to live sustainably from and farm.
Vegan Doja Farm started in 2007. From the ground up, Daniel and a pack of furry friends built all the sustainable systems needed for an off-grid property and farm. For 13 years, this regenerative investment and project has provided medicine to friends and family and especially those in need. In this time spent with the land, he has developed over 100 original in-house Cannabis/Hemp cultivars with divine flavors and unique cannibanoid ratios.
Since 2015, Rodriguez has practiced a vegan lifestyle in every aspect, including at his farm. At Doja Farm the soil is enhanced through through plant based composts, teas, green plant manures, which are dense with micronutrients and free of antibiotics, chemicals and disease and do not contribute to cruel and detrimental industries. Our female artisanal hemp is lab tested to be terpene-rich and packed full of cannabinoids for a hearty, whole plant experience. We have seen the benefits of the Veganic farming practices firsthand. Rodriguez now is living a bi-coastal lifestyle, spending time both in Northern CA/Oregon and back home in Atlanta. We are especially proud to announce the launch of partnership on a Hemp Product line “Vegan Bliss” with Sevananda Natural Foods Co-op, Atlanta’s largest natural food cooperative and majority black and women led, to provide high-quality and affordable medicine in the Atlanta area and beyond.
